Beer cupcakes are easy to make, they taste great and they are fun to eat! Blue Moon cupcakes are my favorite and in my opinion are the most flavorful. For these cupcakes you will use a boxed yellow cake mix, one bottle of Blue Moon, zest from one orange, and about 3 oranges for slicing, mini sword toothpicks (for effect ;), and vanilla icing.
1. Begin making the cake mix, instead of using water, use BEER! Yay!!!!
2. Add into your mix a good amount of orange zest
3. Bake cupcakes according to the instructions.
4. After cooling add Vanilla icing
5.If you are going to serve the cupcakes in the same day, slice the fresh orange and add it to the top of your icing as a garnish. If you are serving these the next day, DO NOT, add the orange until you are ready to serve as the orange will dry out and look horrible.
The following Beer Cupcakes are made in similar ways. Use beer instead of water.
Coors Cupcakes.
I used white cake mix for this recipe, I used the popcorn and pretzels to top the cupcakes because the salty with the sweet is a great combination for this cupcake.
The Heineken cupcake I made for St.Patricks day. I added green dye (of course) and gold chocolate rocks and coins for the top. However, candy lemon wedges would be a great topper for this cupcake.
